It is a unique stupidity that increasing the dividend tax can reduce the gray economy. It is exactly the opposite. Imagine that you are the owner of a company and so far you have not minded paying profit tax and then another 5% dividend tax. A total of 15. However, now one of the taxes doubles. What will you do?
This is what Vladislav Panev commented on "Facebook".
Well, you will increase your salary to the amount of the company's entire profit. This way you will pay only 10% income tax to the treasury (provided that you have been insured to the maximum until now). At the same time, you will avoid 10% double profit (the company will no longer have one) and 10% dividend tax.
What comes out in the end? Until now, the state has collected 15%, and now it will be only 10. And all this without anyone going into the gray economy, everything is through banks and clean. And this will certainly not be an isolated case.
Separately, if you decide to hide income and taxes because of the increase in social security contributions and switch to a cash economy. This will also happen more often, but I will not give advice on illegal practices. Everyone knows them.
