36 years after socialism, we are entering a period of socinism. What did not happen in Bulgaria was a real cleansing of our society from certain morals accumulated in these 45 years, among which the most dangerous were that nothing depends on you, the lack of initiative, because it was erased from the Bulgarian consciousness, and it was not restored after 1989.

With this statement, writer Radoslav Bimbalov began his commentary to the Bulgarian National Radio, defining the fall of Todor Zhivkov's regime from power as a "television revolution":

"We all watched how the leadership of the then ruling Bulgarian Communist Party was replaced. Yes, the shock was great. Then our desire for change was unleashed. It was set in motion a few years before this fact, this key date in our recent history, because Perestroika was started by Gorbachev.

In his words, the citizens of Bulgaria have not done what was necessary to truly and profoundly change:

"We have begun to consume our freedom like a chocolate egg from "Korekom". ... In recent years, I have noticed some people crawling out who were created, raised by the State Security (DS), then became from "Multigroup", which was the main creature of the DS in the Bulgarian economy, where a huge part of the resources poured in - economic and not only, privatization was again consumed through this and other groups - so, these people turned out to be that during these 30 years or so they have not only been a factor in our society, but have become lecturers and bear titles - associate professor, professor - they teach generation after generation. Currently, these people are coming out again and moralizing in the most cynical way possible. This is the scariest thing for me, that we have allowed these people not only to manage the economy of Bulgaria through oligarchic circles, but also to educate the generations that are already creating good people, they educate them to what they are at the moment".

The middle class is difficult to form, but it exists, Bimbalov pointed out and commented:

"It is not united, we are different in political views, in ideologies, in value systems, in understanding of life. What unites us is the feeling of personal progress that happened despite everything. This feeling is now directly attacked by the state and each of us will feel the threat to our personal progress, which will unite us. This is the solution. People are already waking up, any party formation that offers them regression will lose them. Let some new, not yet created formations - for example, that of President Rumen Radev, not count on these people belonging to them just because they are dissatisfied! These people want to live in a modern, contemporary, prosperous Bulgaria. Prospering fast enough, as they themselves prosper in their lives".
