The one-man rule in “We continue the change“ is no longer a rumor, but a fact. The party, which set out with the claim to break the model, quietly and without much explanation reproduced it – in its most classic form. Of the two co-chairmen, only one remained. His name is Asen Vassilev.

Kiril Petkov – the face, energy and political narrative of the PP – is off the lists. Lena Borislavova, until recently not just close, but symbolically inseparable from Petkov, is also out. Her Facebook post that she “is remaining outside the parliament” sounds like an attempt at a dignified retreat, but behind it is clear: the decision is not hers. And it is not his, Petkov's. The decision is in the circle around Assen Vassilev.

This is no longer a collective leadership, nor a “new type of politics“. This is a classic party purge, carried out without scandals, without congresses, without public conflict – the most effective and most cynical option. When people simply disappear from the lists.

The PP is no longer a party of change, but rather of replacing the very idea that power is shared. Assen Vassilev won the internal battle – quietly, coolly and finally. The circle around him prevailed, and everyone who brought risk, emotion or unpredictability was taken out of the equation.

The irony is brutal: the PP, which was destroying the “one-person model”, is today more one-person than the parties it was pointing its finger at. Without Kiril Petkov. Without Lena Borislavova. Without balance. Without a counterweight.

Asen Vassilev remained - alone, strong and completely subject to the "king". The question is no longer who governs the PP. It is clear.
