Coach Dushan Kerkez wants to receive his salary by the end of the year to terminate his contract with CSKA. This became clear after a meeting with the team's fans, BTA reports. The tension in CSKA reached its peak on Thursday, after the "reds" lost to Arda in a postponed championship match. Thus, the team has only 7 points and occupies an unenviable 12th place in the standings. A few days ago, Kerkez said that he wanted his salary until the end of his contract in 2026, but he has already reduced his demands.
After the match with Arda, sports director Boyko Velichkov called on Kerkez to resign, and after the team returned to Pancharevo in the evening, a group of supporters demanded an account from the coach and he promised to leave, but then changed his mind and continued to lead the team, ready to leave in exchange for the appropriate financial compensation.
Kerkez revealed to the fans that he had already submitted his resignation two months ago, but the management did not accept it then.
