The Bulgarian national team's point guard Simeon Nikolov started with his Lokomotiv Novosibirsk with a clean victory in the away game against Kemerevo - 3:0 (25:18, 25:15, 25:22), BTA reported.
The younger of the Nikolov brothers started as the starting point guard in the team of Plamen Konstantinov and his assistant Andrey Zhekov. The Bulgarian provided a diverse game for his team, and also scored one of his saved points with a surprise attack through the center and a dunk.
In the second round, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk will play its first home match on Wednesday (October 22) against Dynamo-Ural.
