English Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Angelos Postecoglou after just 40 days and eight matches in charge, following the team's 0-3 home defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League earlier today, DPA reported, BTA reported.
Nottingham owner Evangelos Marinakis left his post midway through the match at the "City Ground", and the announcement about Postecoglou's future was confirmed 19 minutes after the end of the match.
Angelos Postecoglou was appointed on September 9 - four months after the Europa League triumph with Tottenham, but after failing to win and recording six losses in his first eight matches with Forest, Marinakis took action and the club is already looking for a third manager this season.
