Ludogorets finished 1:1 with Spartak (Varna) at home and lost new points in the fight to defend their title, BTA reported.
The champions are still unbeaten this season, but they already have five draws, having also conceded a second home hick against a more modest opponent at home, after losing points to Lokomotiv (Sofia). Spartak did not lose a match to Ludogorets for the first time in the elite.
Spartak (Varna) opened the scoring against Ludogorets with its first opportunity in the match. Brazilian Shande received a comfortable ball and had time to set it up for a shot, scoring into the near corner of Pendrik Bonman's goal. "The Eagles" tried to press, but never got to clear chances before the break.
At half-time, Ludogorets coach Rui Mota made three substitutions, bringing on Ivaylo Chochev, Stanislav Ivanov and Elik Bile. This immediately paid off, as in the 50th minute, during an attack started by Stanislav Ivanov and passed through Ivaylo Chochev, the ball reached Petar Stanić, who between three in the penalty area shot into the right corner of Maksim Kovalev's goal and equalized - 1:1.
