Bulgaria U15 recorded a second consecutive success in the friendly tournament of UEFA after 2:0 over Slovakia U15. The competition pits the “lion cubs“ against the teams of Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia for under-15s between 17 and 22 October, BTA reported.

Petar Karachorov's selection showed a strong game again, creating numerous scoring chances, and the goals for the success fell in the first half of the match.

Martin Danchev, who also scored in the first match with Lithuania, opened the scoring. A cross from the right went through the penalty area, Georgi Todorov missed the ball, it went to the back post of Danchev, who sent it into the net.

The second goal came in the 20th minute. The Bulgarians continued to press in the middle third, took the ball away and it reached Yoan Yordanov. The Yambol-born striker overcame two Slovakian defenders and scored with a powerful shot under the goalkeeper's diving goal.

After the break, the Bulgarians, already with many changes in the squad, continued to dominate and could have made their result more convincing, but misses deprived them of these opportunities.

In the opening match of the competition, the "lions" won 4:2 on penalties against Lithuania, after the match ended 3:3 in regular time. Thus, Bulgaria is at the top of the standings with 5 points in the UEFA development tournament, followed by Slovakia with 3, Lithuania with 1 and Poland without an asset. Later today, the Poles play the Lithuanian juniors.

In the final third matches on 22.10 at 11:00, Slovakia U15 and Lithuania U15 will meet, while the home team will play Poland U15 at 16:00.
