Valyatsite from Pernik are the new holders of the Bulgarian Rugby Cup, after defeating Loko (Sf) with 19:13 (7:10). The match coincided with the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the development of rugby in Bulgaria. As is known, Loko (Sf) is the first club to start practicing it, reports BTA.

The match, which was played at the “Lokomotiv“ stadium, went through many twists and emotions, and the final winner was decided literally four seconds before the end.

Lokomotiv (Sofia) led 10:0 at the beginning of the match, but little by little the Pernik team began to return to the match and at halftime they had reduced their deficit to three points – 7:10.

The team from Pernice continued to look for a turnaround and in the 62nd minute had reduced it further - 12:13, and even felt harmed by the referee because of a disallowed accurate try.

Then in the last minutes the Valyats pressed, bringing the game almost constantly in front of Lokomotiv's goal area. Four seconds before the end, the team from Pernice managed to cleverly pass the ball and turn it over to 17:13. And the subsequent accurately executed try simply consolidated their success at 19:13. In the remaining little over 90 seconds, the Lokomotivs had a chance for one attack, from which nothing came.

On their way to the trophy, the Valyats eliminated the NSA team in the semifinals.
