CSKA achieved a decisive success with 5:1 against Beroe in a match from the 13th round of the efbet League. Ioannis Pitas distinguished himself with two goals, and Petko Panayotov, Ilian Iliev and Leandro Godoy scored once each. Ismael Ferrer scored the honorary goal for Beroe, BTA reports.
Youth international Petko Panayotov opened the scoring in the 39th minute. The midfielder scored with a header after a cross from the right by Brazilian Pastor. At the very end of the first half, Ioannis Pitas doubled the hosts' lead with a precise finishing shot after an assist from James Eto'o.
CSKA finally ended the intrigue in the match at the beginning of the second half, when Ilian Iliev deflected the ball into the net after a shot by Pastor from the penalty spot field.
This took the guests from Stara Zagora off guard and they conceded two more goals. In the 52nd minute, Pitas scored his second goal of the match after a pass from Panayotov. Seven minutes later, it was Leandro Godoy's turn to score with a shot from the move against his former team.
After the fifth goal, the "reds" slowed down the pace and this allowed Beroe to score an honorable goal. At first, the reserves Miroslav Georgiev and Nene failed to score from clear positions, but three minutes before the end, Ismail Ferrer was brought out alone against Lapouhov and technically passed the goalkeeper for the final 5:1.
