Go Ahead Eagles player fined 500 euros for mocking opponent

Money will be donated to charity

Victor Edvardsen from the Dutch Go Ahead Eagles was fined 500 euros by the club after mocking Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller (in black)'s nose. The foul scene took place in the Europa League match between the two teams on Thursday, BTA reports. After the match, the 29-year-old Swede also apologized to the German international.

"Go Ahead Eagles and Viktor Edvardsen regret yesterday's incident. The club has fined the player 500 euros, which will be donated to a charity supported by the club," the "eagles" wrote on his X profile.

Stuttgart won the match convincingly 4:0, but the most comments on social media were caused by the Swede's provocative behavior. His behavior caused a commotion on the pitch and almost led to a fight between the players.
