Victorio Iliev (pictured) and William Cholov won silver medals at the European Boxing Championship under 23 years in Budapest, BTA reports. In the category up to 65 kilograms, the 19-year-old Bulgarian national Iliev lost in the title match to the Ukrainian Artur Kuzmenko. In his debut at such a forum, Iliev showed that everyone will have to take him into account for now. The Bulgarian hinted at his enormous potential and it is no coincidence that he is already a leading name in the national team.
In the 80 kg category, Cholov played well, but lost by unanimous decision to the Briton Bobby Wallace.
Throughout the entire championship, the Bulgarian showed a very good game, which led him to impressive victories and participation in the final in the Hungarian capital. He fought hard battles, in which his will and character came to the fore, leading him to ultimate success.
The Bulgarian team ends its participation in the championship in Budapest with three medals - gold for Radoslav Rosenov in the 60 kg category and silver medals for Iliev and Cholov. Bulgaria has the most finalists in the men's category from 35 countries that sent participants.
