Our big star in the bars Carlos Nassar commented on the election of Assen Zlatev as the new president of the Bulgarian Weightlifting Federation, sportal.bg reported.
After the end of the extraordinary general meeting of the federation, Nassar commented on the new situation and admitted that he was satisfied, but did not completely rule out the possibility of competing for another country in the event of an appeal against today's election.
"One of the calmest general meetings. I am satisfied and hope that from now on there will be no appeals and that the new leadership of the federation will not be prevented from doing its job.
From now on, if we have such appeals, it simply means that we have differences in ideology and work cannot be done like that. I always allow it as an option, I don't think everything will be perfect, but it's good not to have this thing, because it gives me something to think about and what to do with my career from now on, so it's very good not to have such a thing", shared Nassar.
"Asen Zlatev is the person who kept me here, in Bulgaria, the person who gave me the sense to stay and not go to another country, because he has an idea of how our federation should work, how to provide me with the necessary peace of mind, the necessary conditions and, above all, more medals.
The page (to compete for another country - ed.) is certainly not closed, I constantly have new offers, but for now I don't have such thoughts. If someone appeals, maybe they will come to my head. The best thing is to have an understanding", said Nassar.
