Inter Milan are considering a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who is expected to be out for several months after undergoing surgery, sportal.bg reported.
Dumfries underwent surgery in London earlier this week to treat an ankle problem that is taking longer than expected to resolve. Initial reports suggest the Dutchman could be out for two to three months.
„The Nerazzurri“ could be looking to sign former Arsenal defender Brooke Norton-Cuffie, who has been impressive for Genoa this season, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The 21-year-old has joined the team from Serie A by the “gunners” last summer. So far, the former England youth international has played the full 90 minutes in 14 of 15 matches in the Italian top flight, missing only one through suspension.
If Inter make a final decision on a transfer for Norton-Cuffie in January, the newspaper says a fee of around €20m. The other options considered by the “nerazzurri” are Marco Palestra from Cagliari, Rafik Belgalli from Verona and Maurice Valincic from Dinamo (Zagreb).
