The 20-year-old defender is a solid starter for the “Whites” after returning from the Barcelona academy, and this season he has 18 matches - all from the first minute. His performance also earned him a debut for the national team, and he was a starter in the last three matches of our representative team.
Slavia President Ventseslav Stefanov confirmed that former Yugoslavia international Vladimir Jugovic was in Sofia over the weekend to watch the “Whites” player.
The boss of the “Ovcha Kupel” team admitted that the former Juventus, Lazio and Inter player was in the stands during the Bulgarian Cup match with CSKA 1948.
“Yes, it is true that Jugovic was at the stadium in the Cup match, as a Zvezda player. He watched Martin Georgiev and liked him. He liked other young guys too. However, a lot of work needs to be done and they need to be given chances. They will continue to watch their game in the spring,” Stefanov told Sportal.bg.
