„He categorically insisted. These transfers happen and will happen. The interests of the national team and motivation are important here. Mamedov is a capable wrestler and was selected to the team during the last Olympic cycle“, said Mamiashvili.
„I want to share some important news - from next season I will represent the Bulgarian national team. Thank you very much for the trust and the opportunity to compete and fight for Bulgaria - I will do everything to live up to expectations. I also want to express my gratitude to the Russian Wrestling Federation, the entire coaching staff and all the guys with whom we have worked and with whom we have come a long way over the years. Thank you for the support, for the experience and for the faith“, Mamedov wrote on his Instagram profile.
