Montana announced that they will part ways with head coach Anatoly Nankov and two of his assistants Iliyan Pamukov and Svetlan Kondev. The contract with all three will be terminated by mutual consent. The club revealed unsatisfactory results that do not meet the goals set for the team as a reason, dsport.bg reported.
Kondev has been offered a job in the club's youth team. Only goalkeeper coach Dimitar Atanasovski remains from Nankov's staff at the “Ogosta“ stadium. There is also a parting with players, with whom talks are still to be held. Regarding the selection, the opinion of Montana's new coach will also be taken into account. The club will announce the winter training program next week.
Anatoly Nankov took over Montana on August 11, succeeding Tancho Kalpakov, who resigned after a goalless home draw in the northwestern derby with Botev Vratsa. Under the leadership of the 56-year-old specialist, the newcomer to the First League recorded three consecutive victories over Septemvri 2:0 (Kostadin Iliev, Boris Dimitrov) and Dobrudzha 1:0 (Boris Dimitrov-penalty) at the “Ogosta“ stadium and as a guest of Botev Plovdiv with 1:0 (Philip Ezhike).
In the next 11 matches, however, the team suffered 7 losses and 4 draws, and with one or two exceptions, was not outplayed by any of its rivals, and in some matches was harmed by the referees, say also Montanians, who parted ways with Nankov five days before Christmas.
