Fiorentina is taking a decisive step in an attempt to get out of its deep crisis, making a serious offer to Fabio Paratici, writes “La Gazzetta dello Sport”. “The Violets“ have offered the former Juventus sporting director a five-year contract for the position of head of the club's sports and technical department.

Paratici is open to the possibility and his return to Italy has long been considered a matter of time. Four and a half years after the end of his stay at Juventus, his name is once again among the most sought-after in the Apennines. It is no coincidence that last summer he was very close to taking over the sports and technical power in Milan. All signs point to negotiations having progressed.

After serving his 30-month ban in the “fixing” case, Paratici is currently working in the Premier League as Tottenham's sporting director. Fiorentina's offer, however, comes with an extremely serious challenge. The club is in last place in the standings, eight points from the relegation zone, with a dressing room in crisis and a tense atmosphere among the fans.

All this means getting “in motion”, in a January transfer window, which must be prepared urgently and with limited funds, most likely only from player sales. The task would be not only a sporting and technical one, but also a highly psychological one - stabilising the team and the environment at a critical moment in the season.
