Bulgarian legend Dimitar Berbatov's Bundesliga record has fallen. Until last night, he was the foreigner with the most goals for Bayer Leverkusen in the German top league – 79, writes "Tema Sport".
However, in the 3-1 victory of the Aspirins over RB Leipzig, Czech Patrik Schick scored a goal for 2-1 in the 44th minute. This was Schick's 80th goal with Bayer in the first level of German football.
In all tournaments, Berbatov is still the most successful foreigner in Leverkusen's history – 91 goals in 202 matches. This record will most likely fall very soon, as it is Patrik Schick who has 90 goals for the red and black team - one less than the Bulgarian.
In the all-time ranking of Bayer Leverkusen's top scorers, Berbatov is in third place with his 91 goals. Only Wolf Kirsten is above him - 240, and Stefan Kiesling - 162.
