Fiorentina fans received a Christmas present from their favorites, who in the 16th round of the Serie A season recorded their first victory.
As hosts, the "violets" prevailed 5:1 over the Udinese team, which played practically the entire match with a reduced squad.
In the eighth minute, the visitors' goalkeeper Maduka Okoye received a direct red card for a foul on Fiorentina striker Moise Ken.
With a man more, Fiorentina had no major problems and even before the break, they forged a three-goal lead. Rolando Mandragora opened the scoring in the 21st minute, Albert Gudmundsson doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, and Ker Ndour made it 3-0 in added time.
In the second half, Moise Ken scored to make it 4-0, before Udinese reached an honorary goal through Umar Sole in the 66th minute. Just two minutes later, Ken restored the Florentines' four-goal lead and shaped the final score.
Despite the victory, Fiorentina remains in last place, 20th in the standings, with 9 points. Udinese is in 11th place with 21 points.
