Olympique Marseille lost in extra time against Strasbourg

Olympique Marseille missed out on victory at the very end and finished 2:2 at home against Strasbourg in a match from the 22nd round of Ligue 1. The hosts conceded an equalizer in the seventh minute of added time and are now on a streak of three consecutive matches without a win. The team is two points behind third-placed Olympique Lyon, who host Nice on Sunday, BTA reports.

The league's top scorer Mason Greenwood opened the scoring in the 14th minute, scoring his 14th goal of the season. Algerian international Amine Guerri provided the first goal and scored himself at the start of the second half, when he doubled Marseille's lead in the 47th minute. However, the hosts failed to secure the three points.

Sebastian Nanassi restored the visitors' hopes with a goal in the 74th minute. In added time, Strasbourg were awarded a penalty, and Joaquin Panicelli scored from the penalty spot, making the final 2:2. It was his 12th goal of the campaign, which moved him into second place in the scoring charts behind Greenwood.
