Leeds' management is focused on ensuring that manager Daniel Farke remains with four key players, including Bulgarian international Iliya Gruev, writes "Tema Sport".

According to the publication TeamTalk, as well as other media outlets following the events at Yorkshire, the Premier League club's priority is to sign new contracts with supporting midfielder Gruev, Welsh captain Ethan Ampadu, Dutch defender Pascal Struik and American attacking midfielder Brendan Aaronson.

Their current contracts are until the summer of 2027, and after the end of this season they will all enter the final year of their contracts. This means that they will be able to negotiate with other clubs, and in the absence of an agreement with “Leeds” - they can leave next summer as free agents.

Apart from that, the players have been the basis of the stable performance of the team, led by Daniel Farke, since the beginning of December. This provides good prospects for maintaining their place in the Premier League - the main goal of “Leeds”.

The 25-year-old Gruev and his teammates occupy 15th place after 26 rounds (12 remain to the end) with an asset of 30 points, 6 behind 18th “West Ham”, which is first under the line.
