The sanction was imposed due to unpaid financial obligations to a former football player

Beroe has once again found itself in a difficult situation after FIFA imposed a new transfer ban on the club, Gong.bg reported.

The sanction is a consequence of unpaid financial obligations to former Stara Zagora football player Thiago Seixas.

The reason for the punishment is the unpaid wages to the Argentine midfielder. According to the official decision, the club loses the right to register new players until it pays the full amount owed to the player.

A check on the official FIFA website shows that at this moment, in addition to Beroe, three more Bulgarian teams continue to have active bans on registering new players, but none of them are in professional football. Vereya and Krumovgrad have three sanctions each, and Lovech has one, Sportal.bg reported.
