Everton defeated Chelsea 3-0 at their new "Hill Dickinson" stadium, probably the best home match of the "caramels" since their move and certainly the noisiest for the team's happy audience. This was also Everton's biggest victory over this rival in nearly 40 years, BTA reported.

In the 33rd minute, Beto opened the scoring for Everton after a great pass from new England international James Garner. Before the break, the home team's goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made two great saves.

Beto made it 2-0 shortly after half-time, helped by a poor intervention by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who let the ball go behind him. The Portuguese forward has now scored 7 goals for the team this season.

In the 76th minute, Beto passed and Illiman Ndiaye made it 3-0 with a beautiful shot into the top right corner of the goal.

Everton thus moved up to seventh place in the standings - just two points behind sixth-placed Chelsea and three behind fifth-placed Liverpool. David Moyes' team is boldly looking towards qualifying for European tournaments.
