Dro Fernandez scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain as they won 4-0 at Nice in the 27th round to reclaim top spot in Ligue 1. The 18-year-old midfielder joined from Barcelona in January and scored the team's third goal after receiving an assist from Ousmane Dembele in the 81st minute.
PSG moved one point clear of Lens, who thrashed Angers 5-1 on Friday. The defending champions have a game in hand and the teams meet in Lens on April 11 in a match that could decide the top spot. Nice are in 15th place with 27 points.
Nice were playing evenly until a controversial handball decision gave PSG the right to take a penalty at the end of the first half. Desiree Due's shot missed the target and lightly touched the hand of Nice midfielder Morgan Sanson, who had his back turned and did not see it. The referee awarded the penalty after a video review and left-back Nuno Mendes was accurate from the spot.
Mendes then passed Due in the 49th minute to make it 2-0, and after Nice midfielder Youssef Ndayishimiye was sent off in the 61st, PSG scored late goals through Fernandes and Warren Zaire-Emery in the 81st and 85th minutes respectively.
