The management of Botev Plovdiv has already arranged a successor to the interim coach Lachezar Baltanov, who does not have a license to lead the team in the First League anyway, Topsport reported, referring to "Mach Telegraf".
"The"Yellow-Blacks" have reached an agreement with Stanislav Genchev, who is currently the coach of Lokomotiv Sofia.
This coaching transfer will take place either these days, to use the break in the championship, or at the end of the season.
Stanislav Genchev himself has refused to immediately take over Botev Plovdiv because he does not want to pay compensation to Lokomotiv Sofia. The coach has a contract with the capital"railwaymen" for another season, but is ready to terminate it by mutual consent, if "Nadezhda" also agrees.
According to insiders, Botev Plovdiv's benefactor Iliyan Filipov wants to return Genchev to "Kolezh" after being very satisfied with the coach's work in Krumovgrad in the 2023/24 season, where Filipov was one of the leading figures in the club.
If Stanislav Genchev's appointment is completed by the end of the season, he will become the team's fifth coach during the campaign. Botev Plovdiv was initially led by Nikolay Kirov, but Belia stayed for only 9 matches. After him, Ivan Tsvetanov was appointed as an interim coach (6 matches). Then Dimitar Dimitrov came, but Hero did not stay long at "Kolezh" - 6 matches. Lachezar Baltanov has also led the team in 6 matches so far.
