Levski can count on Mustafa Sangare in the most important part of the season. The striker is making serious progress in his recovery and is getting closer to returning to the field.

The Malian has already passed a new stage of his treatment, after the stitches from his knee surgery were removed. This is a sign that the recovery is going according to plan.

Sangare was injured in the 4:3 win over Lokomotiv Sofia and underwent surgery on March 6. Since then, he has been out of action and has not participated in the "blues" training.

The striker is expected to resume training soon, initially training on an individual program.

The forecasts indicate that Sangare will be available for the second part of the playoffs, when the battle for the title will be decided. It is not ruled out that he will return earlier, but the goal is certainly to be ready for the final matches of the season, reports "Mach Telegraf".

Former Levski striker Valeri Bozhinov has seriously criticized head coach Julio Velasquez for the selection of the lineup and tactics in the matches against Ludogorets.

"I don't understand why Levski didn't play with a striker. You can't go to Razgrad for a draw. I am Levski - who should I worry about?", Bozhinov told BTV.

He stressed that for him it is more important for the team to show character and style, even if it loses.

"If I fall, but I have outplayed them - I will accept it. But to remove Levski's DNA and be afraid - I do not understand that", added the former international.

Bozhinov also touched on the broader topic of the club's development.

"Yes, it is nice to become champions, but after that what? We need a base, a stadium and a strong school. "First you have to get your house in order," he commented.

Despite his criticism, Bozhinov expressed hope that Levski will reach the title and that this will lead to more serious investments.

"I hope that by winning the title, serious sponsors will come in. It only depends on Levski whether he becomes champion," he concluded.
