The tensions between Napoli and Romelu Lukaku are growing. According to “Sky Sport Italia” the striker will be suspended and will not play until the end of the season if he does not return to Naples before next Tuesday.
Lukaku is in Belgium, where he is recovering and trying to regain his form. He is very far from his optimal physical condition. The player has decided to train individually in Antwerp and plans to stay close to his family for at least another week.
Lukaku has informed Napoli of his decision, but the club has told him that he faces a fine and even a suspension from the squad. The striker returned in recent weeks after a long injury recovery, but has played a total of around 40 minutes in Serie A since his return.
According to Nicolo Schira, Lukaku's career at Napoli is over and he will leave in the summer. The player has already received offers from Turkish and Saudi clubs.
