Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has recommended that the club's management turn their attention to RB Leipzig's young talent Jan Diomande as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, reports the British publication The Sun. The Egyptian striker recently announced that he will leave “Anfield“ after the end of the season, ending his successful nine-year stay with the Merseysiders, adds gong.bg.

Liverpool is expected to look for serious reinforcements on the wings, with reports from England suggesting the club is considering bringing in at least two attacking wing players. Among the names linked are Michael Oliseh (Bayern Munich), Jan Diomande (RB Leipzig), Bradley Barcola (Paris Saint-Germain), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) and Francisco Conceicao (Juventus).

Klopp, who recently returned to “Anfield“ for a charity match between Liverpool legends and Borussia Dortmund, currently holds a leading position in the global football structure of “Red Bull“. Despite RB Leipzig's desire to keep the 19-year-old Diomande for at least another season, the club are aware of the serious interest in him and do not rule out a transfer in the summer for a significant sum.

After his impressive performances, the young footballer is already valued at around 87 million pounds, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham also showing interest in him. A possible deal of a similar value would become a record sale in RB Leipzig's history, surpassing the transfer of Josko Guardiola to Manchester City in 2023 for £78 million.
