Our ensemble was left without a medal in the five-ball final of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia.
Sofia Ivanova, Raya Bozhilova, Magdalina Minevska, Magdalena Valkova and Emilia Obretenova made a gross error in their performance, as an apparatus went out of bounds and was replaced with a spare one. With a score of 24.550 points (11.600 - difficulty, 6.850 - artistry, 6.400 - execution) they came in fourth place.
The gold medal was won by the Chinese team. The Olympic champions performed their routine flawlessly and took first place with a score of 27.250 points (12.500, 7.300, 7.450).
The silver medal went to the gymnasts of Russia, who competed under a neutral flag, with a score of 27.200 points (13.000, 7.200, 7.000), and the bronze medal went to the team of Uzbekistan with 25.350 points (12.200, 6.600, 6.500).
By the end of the competition, the ensembles will have performances with three hoops and two pairs of clubs.
