Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, considered one of the favorites to become Italy's new national coach, rejected such an opportunity on Saturday, saying he sees himself in the long term with the "Rossoneri", who are third in Serie A, AFP reported, BTA reported.

"My career speaks for itself, changing teams often is not part of my DNA. I like working at a club that is like a company and should be managed that way," Allegri said at his press conference before the match with Verona tomorrow.

"I like working and seeing progress. We can't win the Champions League in two years, but we have to have that ambition, because if you don't think about the future, you stay in the past," said the specialist, who worked at Milan between 2010 and 2014, and then for two periods at Juventus.

"We talk a lot with Milan, I gave guidelines for the transfer market and the management will take care of it," he added, announcing that he would lead Milan's first training session of the new season on July 12.

After Italy missed the world finals for the third time in a row after losing to the Bosnia and Herzegovina team on penalties, coach Gennaro Gattuso resigned, as did the president of the federation Gabriele Gravina. So we have to wait a few more weeks to find out the name of the team's new coach, and a new president of the federation will be elected on June 22.
