Bulgarian international Iliya Gruev came on as a substitute in the 78th minute of his Leeds' 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton, BTA reported.
The goals for the victory were scored by James Justin and Noah Okafor within just two minutes - between the 18th and 20th minutes of the first half. Gruev replaced Brendan Aaronson, who had received a yellow card shortly before. In the 83rd minute, Adam Armstrong from the guests scored the ball into the goal, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. In the added time of the match, the home team's striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin only won a penalty and converted it for the final 3-0. This was a serious step towards saving the team in the elite.
With the loss, Wolverhampton practically fell out of the Premier League, being firmly last with only 17 points. "Wolves" have 15 less than the first team above the line West Ham and even one point won for the "Hammers" from their remaining six matches will make Wolverhampton's situation hopeless.
In another match of the round, Bournemouth won over Newcastle 2:1 on their way. Marcus Tavernier put the guests ahead in the first half. Will Osula managed to equalize for the "Magpies" in the 68th minute, but five before the end of regular time, Frenchman Adrien Truffaut restored Bournemouth's lead and allowed them to win three points in a row, after they also beat the leader Arsenal in the last round. It was Bournemouth's 13th consecutive league game without defeat.
The win moves Bournemouth into eighth place, but level on points with Chelsea and Brentford, who are ahead of them in the standings. Newcastle are in 14th place with 42.
