Gian Piero Gasperini expressed his satisfaction after Roma's 2-0 win over Bologna, which brought calm to the club after the tension surrounding the departure of Claudio Ranieri. The success keeps the “wolves” in the fight for a place in the Champions League. “We have to believe that we can win every match. We showed it in the first half, although we experienced difficulties after the break. The atmosphere outside Trigoria was tense, but inside the team we were always united“, said Gasperini.

The coach paid special attention to new signing Donyell Malen, who, according to him, has raised the team's level of play. At the same time, he admitted that the absences of Paulo Dybala and Matias Sule have had a serious impact in recent months. “I was not surprised by Malen's qualities. When I saw him live in the summer, I was sure that he was the right player for us“, added the coach.

Gasperini stressed that his role is entirely related to the team's performance on the pitch, expressing gratitude to the management and fans for their trust.

“I am a professional and I focus on technical work. At the heart of the club are the management and the fans. They are the most important“, he concluded.
