Napoli's footballers - Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour - wrote their names in history after becoming the first Scottish players in more than a century to win the Serie A title. The last time Scots celebrated the trophy in Italy was in 1905, when Jack Diamond and James Squire triumphed with Juventus.

Scott McTominay, brought in from Manchester United for 30.5 million euros, has become a pillar of the Neapolitan midfield. With 12 goals and 6 assists, he not only had one of the strongest seasons of his career, but also deservedly received a nomination for Serie A Player of the Season. Billy Gilmour, meanwhile, joined the team on the final day of the winter transfer window and quickly established himself as a key figure in the spring.

After a series of injuries to key midfielders, the young Scot seized his chance and impressed with vision, drive and mature demeanor on the pitch. The success of McTominay and Gilmour not only brought joy to Napoli fans, but also revived the Scottish presence in the elite of Italian football - something that had not happened for more than 120 years.
