Forward Vinicius Junior has signed a new contract with Real Madrid, which will be valid until 2030, reports Sport.es, BTA reported.
After extending the agreement with the Brazilian player, the club exceeded the established salary cap of 15 million euros. Now the 24-year-old will receive more than 20 million euros per year. Vinicius shared the title of the highest-paid player of the “royal club“ with striker Kylian Mbappe.
It is noted that exceeding the salary cap may force Real Madrid to reconsider its remuneration policy, as it is likely that other stars of the club will also request an increase, following the example of Vinicius.
Previously, Vinicius' contract was calculated until the summer of 2027. This season, the striker played 50 matches in all competitions, in which he scored 20 goals and gave 16 assists.
