The management of Krumovgrad released a bitter post on social networks after they were officially relegated from the First League yesterday. The team led by Rosen Kirilov lost to Septemvri 1:2, and at the same time Botev Vratsa will play in the play-offs after defeating Slavia also 2:1.
Kirilov said that in his opinion everyone mysteriously united against Krumovgrad and there was no fair play.
„Private vRA-YAN is saved again!!! Corruption, baseness, powerlessness… Bulgarian football!“, the club wrote.
Krumovgrad's head coach Rosen Kirilov yesterday did not hide his serious disappointment after the 1:2 loss to Septemvri, after which his team was relegated from the First League.
"I'm not mad. As you saw, half the team was gone. Most of the Bulgarians with Catalin Itou and Thiago Veiga, who are honored that they came out today and wanted us to win until the end. Thanks also to the Bulgarians for throwing themselves until the end. We had situations today and things could have turned out in our favor. In the end, we got quite exposed and Septemvri logically scored a second goal for us, but we simply took a risk because we had to win," Kirilov said after the match, quoted by BTA.
"I can say that Krumovgrad played honestly and tried to win using football means. We are watching how everyone mysteriously united against Krumovgrad. I don't want to talk... I am affected... We knew that Botev Vratsa is a very strong team and will beat Slavia, so we needed a mandatory victory", he added.
