The national volleyball team defeated Argentina with a decisive 3:0 (25:21, 25:20, 28:26) in a match from Group 1 of the Nations League, played in Quebec (Canada), BTA reports. We remind you that our team started the tournament with a defeat to the world champion Italy, but in their second match they showed maximum mobilization against the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Games.
The first two games were evenly matched, but Bulgaria prevailed with 25:21 and 25:20 after excellent attacks by Alex Nikolov and Venislav Antov, as well as strong blocking performances by Preslav Petkov.
The most contested was the third part, in which the Argentines tried to get back into the match and even had a game ball at 24:23. The Bulgarian volleyball players kept their cool and managed to take the game with 28:26 after two aces by Simeon Nikolov and record a clean victory.
The most productive players for the success were Venislav Antov and Alexander Nikolov with 14 points each. For Argentina, Herman Gomez scored 13 points.
Bulgaria's next group match is on June 15 against Germany.
