Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi lost his temper after a fan at the Club World Cup in Seattle, wearing a Paris Saint-Germain shirt, mocked him about last month's Champions League final, with the Italian threatening to punch him.
The fan recalled a humiliating moment from Inter's 5-0 defeat to the French champions in Munich, in which Acerbi was left on the ground after a brilliant trick by Bradley Barcola.
In a video that went viral on social media, the visibly irritated Italian international sought the help of an interpreter during a meeting with fans. The translator told the fan in English: “You have to be serious with him“.
Seconds later, Acerbi intervened to say in Italian: “I'm serious. Don't make fun of me - I don't like it... I'm crazy, I'll beat you up“.
After that, Acerbi quickly moved on, posing for photos with other fans. The management of Inter were not available for comment.
Inter will face Urava Red Diamonds today in a Group E match.
