Petar Mitsin won a gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle at the European Swimming Championships for men and women under 23 years of age in the Slovak city of Šamorin, BTA reported.
The Bulgarian, who yesterday won silver in the 200-meter freestyle, finished first in the final in 3:46.66 minutes and defended his title at this distance in this age group, which he also won in Dublin two years ago.
The invited trio was completed by the British Melbourne-Smith with 3:48.69 and the Slovenian Sasho Boškan with 3:49.26.
