Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov (Campos Racing) finished in last place - 29th place, in the sprint race in Great Britain, the seventh round of the Formula 3 season, BTA reports. Right at the start, the Bulgarian was hit by the Italian Brando Badoer (Prema Racing), spun and this sent him to 29th position. Badoer ended his participation, but the Bulgarian continued, despite being at the bottom of the standings.
The incident required the entry of a safety car, and Tsolov tried to gradually climb forward in the standings, but in the end, due to the collision, he remained 29th after 18 laps.
The victory of "Silverstone" was won by Tsolov's teammate Tasanapol Intrapuvashak (Thailand), who, according to Formula 3 regulations, started from first position today, after finishing 12th in qualifying. He recorded a time of 35:18.467 minutes. Norwegian Martinius Sternshorn (Hitech GTR) finished second at 1.748 seconds, and another of Campos Racing's drivers - Spaniard Mari Boya, finished third, 6.466 seconds behind.
The main race for the British Formula 3 Grand Prix is tomorrow, and the Bulgarian will start from the front row. In the previous round, Tsolov won the main race for the Austrian Grand Prix, after dominating the "Red Bull Ring" track, but was later disqualified for violating the technical rules.
