The coach of the Bulgarian national volleyball team Gianlorenzo Blenghini is happy with the progress of the "tricolors" in the League of Nations. In Gdansk, the Bulgarians won 3:2 (17:25, 25:22, 25:23, 27:29, 15:11) against the European champion Poland and kept their chances of qualifying for the final tournament.
"We are improving, we know how to get up, not only in difficult matches against big teams. When something doesn't work out and things are not so good, we managed to survive. We needed to be more than perfect in every phase and situation. Some of the best players in the world are those in Poland. It wasn't easy to come back, especially in the tiebreak. We showed in every situation that we are on the field. We had to change the system a few times, but it was a really important match. The feeling is fantastic. Now we have a match against Iran. We have to recover mentally. It will be difficult against Iran, they are a strong team," Blenzini told VBTV after the match against the "Polish team".
On Sunday, Bulgaria will play against Iran in its last match of the tournament in the Polish city of Gdansk.
