Levski's striker Mustafa Sangare spoke to the Portuguese newspaper "O Jogo" two days before the "Blues" second leg against Braga in the second round of the Europa League, BTA reported.

The Mali international was a starter in the first leg in Sofia, and hopes to score a goal in the second leg in two days. Sangare has shown excellent form, scoring three goals for Julio Velasquez's team since the start of the season, including in extra time against Hapoel Beer Sheva, and with his penalty in the match in the Hungarian city of Nyíregyháza, Levski advanced in the tournament. Sangare spoke to BTA after the first match between the two teams in Sofia.

Mustafa Sangare was brought to Levski from the Portuguese Varzim, with the club paying 170 thousand euros for his rights.

"Braga has fantastic players. Despite his age, Joao Moutinho continues to be a very elegant player, it is always nice to watch him play", says the French-born striker. "Ricardo Horta is dangerous in the last meters, Dorgeles is fast, and Salazar can make the difference. The goalkeeper (b. a. - Hornicek) also did his job", the 196 cm tall ram told the publication.

"Braga has a lot of experience at the European level. This is a very solid opponent, which has exceptional tactical and technical quality. It will not be easy, but we have the means to achieve the desired result with discipline and ambition. We respect Braga, but we are not afraid of them", Sangare is categorical.

Mustafa Sangare played 29 matches for Varzim in the 2023-24 season, "O Jogo" recalls. "This is part of my history. If I have the opportunity to score in Braga, I will celebrate and dedicate the goal to this club, which means a lot to me and I have not forgotten it. I still keep in touch with the people there, I exchange messages with teammates, coaches and bosses. Some of them will be in Braga to watch the match", the Frenchman boasted.

Sangare admitted that he carries Portugal in his heart. "The people are incredible - warm and respectful", he believes.

15 months ago, Sangare played with Varzim against Braga's second team, and now he is making a big leap. "I started playing football late. It's incredible to be in the European tournaments right now and to be playing at the stadium in Braga. This is the match we've been working for all year. To score for Levski in such an environment would be great. I'll give everything to leave Braga as a winner", concluded Mustafa Sangare.
