Spartak Varna and Botev Vratsa shared the points in a late drama

The hosts equalized at the very end of the extra time of the match

Spartak (Varna) and Botev (Vratsa) finished 1:1 in the first match of the third round of efbet League., reported sportal.bg.

In the 4th minute, the first danger in the match came. Daniel Genov received a through pass and passed to the left to the free Aymen Souda. The French winger took over and immediately shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Kovalev intervened and cleared. However, the offside flag was subsequently raised, as the striker was not in a regular position when he passed to Genov.

In the 8th minute, Spartak responded with a good position. Mehdi Bukasi failed to clear a ball from his own penalty area and so it fell at the feet of Xandi, who was left alone against Dimitar Evtimov on the left. The kick of the “Falcons” player was blocked, however, and so no goal was scored.

7 minutes later, Kovalev had to intervene again after a diagonal kick from the left by Daniel Genov. In the 20th minute, the Vratsa team still scored a goal. After a corner kick, there was a mix-up in the home team’s penalty area. A shot was made, Kovalev saved, and Suda scored with a backhand from the goal line. However, the goal was correctly disallowed due to offside.

In the 36th minute, Xandi could have scored the goal of the season. Botev (Vratsa) was given the right to take a direct free kick. The ball was kicked out and fell at the feet of the Brazilian winger of the “falcons”, who saw that Dimitar Evtimov had come forward and tried a cross shot from over 60 meters. The attempt was not bad, but the ball went past the side post.

By the end of the half, there were no more interesting situations. Thus, the two teams retired with a tied score and no goals at the break.

The second half started with a good situation for Ivey Romeesh, he received a nice passing pass and gained speed. At the last moment, however, Angel Granchov made a nice split and knocked the ball out of the feet of the Panamanian footballer.

In the 55th minute, a curious situation arose in the Spartak penalty area. Aymen Souda tried to play a ball with a back scissors, and behind him was Angel Granchov. The ball deflected off the hand of the “falcons” defender and went into a corner. Botev’s players immediately requested a penalty, but initially none was given. However, after reviewing the situation with VAR, Georgi Kabakov was called to the monitors near the touchline and then awarded a penalty kick.

The execution was handled by Antoine Stoyanov, who sent Kovalev to the wrong corner and scored for 0:1 in the 60th minute.

After the goal, the hosts put pressure on and transferred the game to Botev’s half. In the 73rd minute, Bernardo Couty received a nice pass in the air, controlled it well, turned and shot dangerously. However, Dimitar Evtimov was careful and knocked it out.

In the 83rd minute, Emil Yanchev tried his luck from long range, and the ball went inches from the side post, after the goalkeeper of Vratsa managed to touch it.

Literally in the last second of the extra time given by the referee, Ilker Budinov brought the point for the hosts.
