Lando Norris has consolidated his good performance ahead of the Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix, recording three out of three wins in free practice so far. In the third, the British driver won ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastre, after also improving on his qualifying time last year, BTA reports.

Norris was first in the chart in Friday's practice as well, and today recorded a lap within 1:08.972 minutes. It was faster than last year's best qualifying time, which was again his - 1:09.673 minutes.

Piastre was 0.242 seconds slower in his flying lap of the 4.259-kilometer track in Zandvoort. George Russell was third for Mercedes, 0.886 seconds behind the winner, while Carlos Sainz was fourth for Williams. World champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull was fifth, almost a second behind Norris.

Piastri still leads the Formula One championship, but his lead is slipping. Norris won the last race in Hungary and is now just nine points behind.
