Crucial hours for the return of Randal Kolo Moani (right) to Juventus. The alternative if negotiations fail is Belgian striker Lois Openda, writes “La Gazzetta dello Sport”. Time is running out – the transfer window closes tomorrow. Turin is waiting for PSG's final word on the offer for a paid loan worth 10 million euros with an option to buy between 45 and 50 million. This option could become mandatory under certain conditions. If Paris gives the “green light”, Kolo Moani will once again wear the “black and white” jersey. If PSG insist on an outright sale or an automatic buy-back clause, sporting director Damien Comolli will be forced to look for a more economical option.
Among the names discussed was that of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, but the serious interest from Bayern Munich has shifted attention to another familiar option - Lois Openda from Leipzig. The Belgian only appeared on the pitch at the end of the match yesterday - a sign that only underlines his dissatisfaction and desire to leave the Red Bull club. If negotiations with PSG fail, Juve are ready to turn to him.
Openda offers similar flexibility to Kolo Mouani, but is two years younger and significantly cheaper as an overall investment. While the Frenchman receives an annual salary of 8 million euros, the former Lens striker would agree to half that. Kolo Mouani himself hopes that PSG will back down not so much because of the ties between president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Comolli, but to avoid the embarrassment of keeping an "unwanted player" with such a high salary.
