We lost to Ukraine at the U21 Volleyball World Championship

The U21 National Team lost to the Ukrainian team 0:3 (23:25, 21:25, 23:25) in a game in the dispute for 9-10th position in the final standings of the World Championship in Jiangmen (China), BTA reports.

All three games were extremely interesting, but in the end the Ukrainian volleyball players were better. In the first half, the Bulgarians led 23:22, but their rivals scored three consecutive points to turn the tables. In the second game, Ukraine took an advantage of 23:17 and won 25:21. The third half also started evenly. Ukraine's first breakthrough led to 17:14, which practically ended the match. Twice the Bulgarian team reduced its deficit to just a point, but failed to equalize and lost the match.

The top scorer for Bulgaria was Jasmin Velichkov with 14 points, Ognyan Hristov finished with 11. Maxim Tonkono distinguished himself for the Ukrainian team with 15 points.
