Ivelin Popov will continue his career in Lokomotiv Sofia, Gong.bg reported. The 37-year-old football player held a meeting with the coach of the "railroad players" Stanislav Genchev and reached an agreement for his transfer to the "red-blacks".
It is expected that Popevo will be officially presented by the capital club next week. He arrives in "Nadezhda" as a free agent, after parting ways with Botev Plovdiv at the beginning of the week.
The experienced midfielder will be Lokomotiv's third new signing in recent days, after Georgi Minchev and Angel Lyaskov signed with the team.
Ivelin Popov has played for Botev for the past two years. He made 77 appearances for the "Canaries", scoring 15 goals and providing 19 assists. Popetto has also played for Litex, Levski, Gaziantepspor, Kuban Krasnodar, Spartak Moscow, Rostov, Rubin Kazan and Sochi.
