In the heart of São Paulo, the “flying limousine“ was presented – the fruit of close cooperation between Airbus Corporate Helicopters and Mercedes-Benz. It is a special edition of the ACH145 model, which is as much a helicopter as it is a work of haute couture in interior design.
The German aesthetes from Stuttgart have invested all their know-how to turn the metal bird into a temple of comfort. Customers whose wallets allow such a jewel can choose between six different equipment levels. Want the feel of the ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach? You have it. Prefer the futuristic and clean style of the electric flagship EQS? No problem!
The interior of the ACH145 offers unparalleled flexibility
Configurable from 4 to 8 individual seats, upholstered in the finest leather.
Precious materials: A combination of natural wood, polished aluminum and discreet Mercedes-Benz emblems that recall the machine's lineage.
Details that caress the eye: Ergonomic consoles, storage compartments and cup holders that would look perfect even in a private jet.
Technical perfection under the hood (and above it)
Although Mercedes has taken over the “makeup and hair“, the technical heart of the machine remains the work of Airbus engineers. Under the elegant body, two powerful turboshaft engines pulse, each of which generates a respectable 894 hp. With this “horsepower“ in the sky, the helicopter maintains a stable cruising speed of 254 km/h. On a single charge, it can fly up to 650 km – completely enough to have breakfast in Monaco and land for lunch in the Alps.
But this aerial masterpiece will not be found under the road and above the road. Each copy is made to order individually, which guarantees that its owner will have a unique one. With a price tag of around $10 million, this Airbus and Mercedes-Benz project is aimed at the top of the economic pyramid, where time is the most precious currency and luxury is a must.
