While the famous German car seat manufacturer Recaro tries to escape from the shackles of bankruptcy, other Germans, those from BMW awards for best car seat design.
As part of a workshop organized by the Automotive Research Center, the BMW Group received the Enlighten Award for the BMW M Visionary Materials seat. The minimalist and modern look of the seat is emphasized by the frame elements visible to the naked eye.
In addition, plant-based finishing materials and recycled materials are actively used in the creation of the BMW M Visionary Materials Seat. For example, the seat uses natural fibers, fiber composites, alternative leathers and algae-based polymers.
Thanks to this, as well as the high level of recycling, the so-called carbon footprint of the new seats is 90% lower than that of the current BMW M carbon seats.
