In the spring of 2025, Volonaut Airbike excited the world with its futuristic concept of a "flying motorcycle". Now the company has announced the official price of this ultralight carbon vehicle - $ 880,000 (about 755,000 euros). But to get your hands on this high-tech device, you will have to go through several steps.
Price and purchase process
First, those interested must make a reservation with a deposit of $ 2,000. Then, a second deposit of $ 80,000 is required before production begins. The remaining amount of $ 798,000 is paid upon completion of the aircraft. In addition to the Airbike itself, customers will also receive flight training at a Volonaut facility in the US.
Technical specifications
Unlike most eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicles, the Airbike does not use electric rotors, but a small, controllable turbine. This technology allows the "motorcycle" to be extremely light – between 30 and 40 kilograms, which is about seven times less than the weight of a standard motorcycle.
Despite its high price, the Volonaut Airbike promises a unique experience. However, whether the "flying motorcycle" will become a reality or remain just an expensive toy for a select few remains to be seen.
